
Scott Dunn Named to Frontier League Hall of Fame

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - The Traverse City Beach Bums are proud to announce that former pitcher, Scott Dunn, has been selected to the Frontier League Hall of Fame as part of it's 2018 class of inductees.
The Clinton Park, PA native came to the Beach Bums in 2010 out of Slippery Rock University in Pittsburgh. He immediately made an impact in closing out 16 games, earning six saves with a 2.20 earned run average. He stayed in Traverse City for four seasons, working out of the bullpen and starting. In his final season with the Bums, he was 15-1 with a 2.61 ERA, and earned a spot in that's season's Frontier League All-Star Game, and was the Frontier League Pitcher of the Year. Overall in Traverse City, Dunn was 30-10 with a 2.69 ERA. In 338 innings, he walked 97 while striking out 248, a Bums career record. Scott also has the most wins in team history, which is second all-time in the league.
On Saturday, the Beach Bums and Joliet Slammers continue this weekend's three game set with game two. The Slammers will have Taylor Goshen start and the Beach Bums go with Adam Cornwell. First pitch will be at 7:05pm and Tom Willms will have the call, starting with the Budweiser pregame show, at 6:45pm. You can listen along from anywhere in the world at TCBeachBums.com.
Saturdays in 2018 are Salute to Soldiers and 1st Responder Saturdays. A special day we've set aside to personally show our support and thank to the real heroes who serve this country.
