Sudbury Wolves News Release
(Greater Sudbury, ON) - Hockey Canada has announced that Sudbury Wolves head coach Scott Barney will be one of the two Hockey Canada U17 head coaches for the 2025 U17 World Challenge, held in Truro, Nova Scotia from October 31 to November 8.
"We are excited for Scott as he is a top end young coach who Hockey Canada knows well from when he coached Canada West to a Gold in the World Jr. A tournament two years ago.", said Rob Papineau, Vice President and General Manager of the Sudbury Wolves. "Our players are very fortunate to have such a highly regarded coach behind them every night."
Barney will be behind the bench of one of two Canada squads at the event, as Hockey Canada looks to build off a 2024 U17 World Challenge that saw Canada White play Canada Red in the Gold Medal Game. The Sudbury Wolves organization would like to wish Scott Barney the best of luck in the preparation and execution as a head coach for this event.
