Scooter McFadgon acquired by Jam

Bakersfield, CA Feb. 5 - The Bakersfield Jam have acquired Scooter McFadgon from the available player pool. McFadgon (6-5, 200) played his college ball for the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets before the start of the 2006-07 preseason.

McFadgon averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while playing only 13.3 minutes per contest while on the Hornets preseason roster. He was waived prior to the start of the regular season. As a junior at Tennessee he posted the second best free throw percentage in SEC history with 91.2%. He also ranked fourth in the SEC with 17.6 points per game during his junior campaign.

Tony Bobbitt was waived to make room for McFadgon. Bobbitt had been averaging 15.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game for the Jam through 18 games.
