Peoria, Arizona - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC travel south to the Valley of the Sun as they return to USL action on Saturday night against Arizona United SC. Arizona United have tied their first two home USL games this season at the Peoria Sports Complex, after they opened the 2016 campaign with a five-game road trip.

A 1-0 victory at Switchbacks Stadium over Harpo's FC saw the Colorado Spring Switchbacks FC move into the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night. A thirteenth minute Marty Maybin goal, assisted by Davy Armstrong, was enough to propel the Switchbacks to a June 1st Third Round U.S. Open Cup matchup against Saturday's USL opponents - also at the Peoria Sports Complex in Arizona.

The Last Meeting- .On April 9th the Colorado Springs Switchbacks took down Arizona United 2-0 at the home opener at Switchbacks Stadium.

Goal Scorer - Long Tan, of Arizona United, has been on a striking streak culminating in two of the five goals scored against Tuscon FC in the second round of the US Open Cup. Defenders Josh Phillips and Christian Ibeagha, along with goalkeeper Devala Gorrick,are expecting many quick strikes from Arizona.

USL Western Conference/US Open Cup- Saturday night's meeting between Arizona and Colorado Springs is not only a key league game for both clubs, but will also serve as a preview for two weeks from now when they meet in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup for the chance to play the Colorado Rapids.
