Dunedin Blue Jays News Release

DUNEDIN, FL - Fans are encouraged to join the Dunedin Blue Jays on April 12th for the annual "Bark in the Park" night at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, presented by the Brown Boxer. Hounds and humans will enjoy a night of fun at the ballpark when the D-Jays take on the Brevard County Manatees at 6:30 p.m. The first 250 fans will receive a Blue Jays dog bowl, along with giveaways and activities taking place throughout the night. Dog vendors will also be on hand for a night that supports the Dunedin Doggie Rescue.

Also, the Dunedin Blue Jays are teaming up with the Dunedin Doggie Rescue to collect items to benefit our four-legged friends. Throughout the month of April the D-Jays are asking fans to donate items at any home game. In exchange for donated items, the Jays are offering fans a souvenir key chain or a ticket to a future game at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.

The items of specific need are: medium and large dog beds, dog toys, and gift cards for use in Dunedin Doggie Rescue raffles. Also, there is need for dog leashes of the six-foot length, for both small and large dogs.

Along with being the Bark in the Park night, this and every Saturday home game is a Junior Jays Saturday. There will be plenty of fun for our young fans, with face painting, interactive games, caricatures, balloons and more. Plus, kids are welcome to stick around and run the bases after the game on Saturday.

On top of all that, Saturdays are great for fans of all ages because each Saturday home game features the "Jays Win, You Win" promotion. If the Dunedin Blue Jays win a Saturday home game, fans can take their game ticket to Cobb Theatres in Clearwater and redeem it for a FREE movie ticket.

Tickets are just $7 for humans. Tickets for dogs will be $3, with the proceeds going to support the Dunedin Doggie Rescue. Fans with questions are welcome to call 727-733-9302 or visit DunedinBlueJays.com.
