Guelph Storm News Release
USA Hockey unveiled its 2022 National Junior Team roster on Tuesday, with two OHL players in Soo Greyhounds forward Tanner Dickinson and Guelph Storm forward Sasha Pastujov making the cut.
The Americans defend gold in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alta. featuring six players returning from last year's squad. They'll be coached once again by Nate Leaman.
A fourth round pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2020 who signed with the club this past August, Dickinson sits second in Greyhounds scoring with 33 points (12-21-33) in 24 games. The native of Perrysburg, Ohio made the Greyhounds as an undrafted free agent invite in 2019. This marks the first time Dickinson has represented the United States in an IIHF event. He made his pro debut last season, appearing in three games with the AHL's Utica Comets.
Selected in the third round by the Anaheim Ducks this past summer, Pastujov leads the Guelph Storm with 20 goals and 35 points (20-15-35) over 26 games this season. The product of Bradenton, Fla. was the OHL's Player of the Month for October. Pastujov represented the United States at both the Under-17 and Under-18 levels, winning silver at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He signed an entry level deal with Anaheim in August.
