Santa Cruz Warriors Fall to Oklahoma City Blue, 85-71

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - The Santa Cruz Warriors (1-3) fell to the Oklahoma City Blue (3-1) Sunday morning in Oklahoma City, 85-71. The Blue held the Warriors to a franchise-record-low of 71 points.

Warriors forward Jordan Bell had a big first half adding 10 points and nine rebounds to help the Sea Dubs go into halftime with a one-point lead, 43-42.

The Blue then opened the second half on an 8-0 run and had all the momentum to hold the Warriors to a franchise-record-low of six points in the third quarter. Oklahoma City entered the final quarter with a 17-point lead, 66-49, and held on to split the weekend series with the Warriors and earn their third win of the season.

Bell finished the day with his third double-double of the season (12 points and 16 rebounds). Golden State Warriors two-way guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. tallied 13 points and three assists. Forward Axel Toupane led the Warriors with 16 points and guard Eddie Stansberry added 11 points off the bench.

Oklahoma City had three players on assignment (Vít Krejèí, Théo Maledon and Tre Mann) with Mann leading the Blue with 18 points. Center D.J. Wilson added 13 points and 18 rebounds.
