Sangre Latina Named Official Switchbacks FC Supporters Group

Colorado Springs, CO - Sangre Latina, the newest supporter's club of the Switchbacks FC, will be the first official Latin Supporters' group in Colorado Springs.

Founded in June of 2020, the goal of the Sangre Latina Supporters' Club is to build a fanbase for their local professional soccer team the Switchbacks, and to provide an official support club for soccer fans in the Latino community here in Colorado Springs. All founders and promoters are proud to be counted among the members that will help represent Switchbacks fans during the 2021 inaugural season in the new Weidner Field Stadium. President Adrian Davila welcomes all, saying, "Come and Enjoy Spending Afternoons with Family, Join us, We are Latinos and the Best Supporters of your Local Team the Switchbacks. The group "Sangre Latina" awaits you, we will do what we like the most: be loud and have fun."

Sangre Latina is driven by a mission statement: to grow the love of our city, passion for soccer, and family inclusion within the latin community of Colorado Springs. They have a vision of creating passion for soccer at the local level and creating "the best supporters cheer group that's ever been." Sangre Latina strives to create memorable experiences for the Latino community and help support the Switchbacks as a team in one of the most popular sports in the world.

All are welcome to join their ranks as a new member of the Sangre Latina Supporter' Group. Vice President BenjamÍn Corley spoke a little a bit about their excitement around Sangre Latina: "'El fútbol" is foundational to the lifeblood of communities all over the world. Now, with Weidner Field taking center stage at the heart of Colorado Springs in 2021, the Switchbacks will be foundational to our 719 community for generations to come. We began the new Sangre Latina supporters group to gather many of the greatest soccer fans in our city who share a common passion and love both for soccer as well as Latino heritage. And specifically gather to celebrate the laying of this Switchbacks foundation we can stand on every week and cheer both our team and each other through the highs and lows that the game and life throw at us. Just as the game-day roster will always be diverse, we hope to unify the diversity of all people under the Switchbacks banner as we shout with one voice: ¡Mi Cuidad! Mi Equipo! My Team! My City!"
