Sanders 40 lifts Frenzy

Cape Cod Frenzy News Release
Newark, New Jersey: With all the hype going into next weekend's All Star festivities, perhaps tonight's performance by Rob Sanders will put prospective scouts on notice..
Sanders scored a Frenzy season high 40 points, hauled down 20 rebounds, and blocked 5 shots as the Frenzy derailed the Newark Express 103-98.
Cape Cod's feeding frenzy began in the first quarter as they jumped all over the Express. Sanders was too much for Newark to handle as something good happened everytime he touched the ball. Whoever was guarding him had to resort to fouling to attempt to stop him.
The Frenzy led by nineteen points at the half: 58-39.
Newark responded with Sanders resting, and clawed back to within single digits in the fourth quarter, but the unstoppable force of nature was reinserted into the game and imposed his will. A Sanders block led to a fastbreak and a big slam by you-know-who reestablished control. Sanders continued scoring in a variety of ways to keep the Express at bay.
In addition to Sanders' 40, Steve Hailey added 17, Raheim Lamb 16, and Rashid Al-Kaleem 15 points. The Frenzy improve to 8-12 in the rugged Blue North Division.
Rob Sanders will be representing the Cape Cod Frenzy in the 2007 ABA All Star game on Sunday January 28th at 2:00 PM in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Frenzy's next game is against the vaunted Vermont Frost Heaves at Burlington Memorial Auditorium on February 1st at 7:00 PM.
