Sand Gnats Postponed Due to Rain Sunday

Savannah, GA - The Sand Gnats game against the Augusta GreenJackets on Sunday at Historic Grayson Stadium has been postponed due to unsafe playing conditions and pending rain. Sunday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, September 1st. Gates will open at 5pm and first pitch is set for 5:35pm on Tuesday.
The Sand Gnats and 'Jackets will continue the Amtrak Route to the Playoffs tomorrow at Historic Grayson Stadium with a doubleheader at 5:35pm. The Gnats will send RHP Corey Oswalt (10-4, 3.44) to the hill in the first of two seven-inning games and RHP Ricky Knapp (7-3, 2.59) in the second. The GreenJackets will start RHP Sam Coonrod (6-5, 3.31) in game one and RHP Patrick Young (8-4, 3.97) in game two. Monday will feature the last Kroger Dollar Monday of the season with gates opening at 5pm. $1 General Admission tickets will be available in the Savannah Morning News and online at SavannahNow.com. $1 coupons can also be found at participating Kroger locations. Hot dogs, chips, small sodas & select beers are also only $1 each.
