
Sanabia Strong as Suns Even Series with Tennessee

Kodak, Tenn. - Alex Sanabia allowed only a first inning run in seven frames while a Jason Delaney three-run homerun in the first inning led the Jacksonville Suns (28-15) to a 4-1 victory over the Tennessee Smokies (26-18) in front of 3,359 Sunday afternoon at Smokies Park.
Sanabia (5-0) allowed the run in the first inning and scattered seven hits with four strikeouts in a 97 pitch effort over seven innings, his third seven inning effort of the season. The right-hander had pitched six or more innings in all nine appearances during 2010. Tennessee starter Hung-Wen Chen (3-5) fell in the losing decision, giving up three runs in the first inning with eight hits, two walks and six strikeouts. Matt Peterson (7) allowed only a single in the ninth inning for the save.
Jacksonville opened the scoring in the first inning against Chen. Ozzie Martinez and Michael Stanton recorded back-to-back singles with one out. Later with two out, Jason Delaney hit a three-run homerun into the leftfield lawn, opening a 3-0 lead.
Tennessee touched the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning. Tony Campana singled and later scored on a Ty Wright double for a 3-1 score.
The 3-1 difference remained until the ninth inning when Mark Saccomanno drove in Ozzie Martinez on a sacrifice fly to right field, ending the scoring at 4-1.
