San Jose Giants Homestand Preview: July 4-July 9

SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants return to Municipal Stadium for a red, white and blue six game homestand beginning Thursday, July 4. The team will host the Visalia Rawhide for three games before welcoming in the Lake Elsinore Storm for their only trip to San Jose in 2013. On July 4 and July 5, first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 PM, with Postgame Fireworks following the last out of both contests courtesy of Comcast. In addition, the first 500 fans through the gates on the Fourth of July will receive an American Flag. Municipal Stadium is also the official host of the San Jose Community Fourth of July Celebration, which will allow members of the community to enjoy the Fourth of July Fireworks from outside the ballpark. Following the two-day Independence Day celebration, fans can pick-up tickets to both weekend contests and early week games from local merchants.

Promotions and Special Events:

Independence Day Celebration: The San Jose Giants are at home for the Fourth of July! The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a small American Flag and the Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza will be presented by Comcast. In addition, the team will wear special Stars and Stripes jerseys made available to fans during an in-game silent auction that will last through the game on Friday, July 5. Stars and Stripes Jersey Auction: The San Jose Giants will wear special Independence Day Stars and Stripes jerseys

on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. Fans will be able to bid on these jerseys on both days during an in-game silent auction. The winning bidders get to go out on the field Friday night and retrieve their jersey right off the respective San Jose Giants' back.

Postgame Fireworks presented by Comcast: Following the last out on July 4 and July 5, Postgame Fireworks will light up the night sky courtesy of Comcast. Plenty of great seats remain for Friday, July 5. Click here to purchase.

San Jose Community Fourth of July Celebration: The San Jose Giants will host the San Jose Community 4th of July Celebration at Municipal Stadium and surrounding South Campus immediately following the conclusion of their 6:30 PM game on Thursday, July 4. Comcast is the principal sponsor of the annual fireworks show, while United Site Services is providing the necessary support facilities which will allow the local community to watch the show for free. San Jose State University has led the effort to make space available for the community along with Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, History San Jose and Kelley Park to open the entire South Campus area for local citizens to watch the fireworks. For every youth ticket purchased, fans will receive a free hot dog and soda. The coupon must be presented at the time of purchase. The offer allows for only one ticket per coupon.

OSH Merchant Games: Fans can pick up complimentary admission tickets to the games on Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9 at their local, participating OSH stores one week prior to the game. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last.

***SPECIAL TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR SATURDAY, JULY 6***

Due to the soccer match that will be held at San Jose State's Spartan Stadium on Saturday, July 6, parking will be extremely limited. Fans are encouraged to arrive with their tickets already purchased and carpool or take alternate forms of transportation to Municipal Stadium. All cars entering the parking will be asked to show their game ticket and be charged the regular $10 rate. All cars entering WITHOUT San Jose Giants game tickets will be charged $25. Once tickets are purchased at the box office, fans will be reimbursed $15.
