San Diego Wave FC News Release
SAN DIEGO - San Diego Wave FC, in collaboration with The Animal Pad, today unveiled a new mural designed and brought to life by San Diego-based Ground Floor Murals. The mural was unveiled in downtown San Diego (538 Seventh Avenue) as part of defender Abby Dahlkemper's nomination for the 2023 Nationwide Community Impact Award.
The mural, painted by Paul Jimenez and Signe Dtona, was designed around Dahlkemper's work with The Animal Pad, a non-profit, all breed dog rescue that focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters. The goal of the mural is to bring more attention to the non-profit, including a QR code that allowsfans to vote for Dahlkemper and The Animal Pad to win the award that grants $25,000 to further the organization's efforts.
