SAN DIEGO, California - The San Diego Strike Force have signed defensive lineman Ja'Quan Artis to their 2024 Indoor Football League roster.

Ja'Quan Artis (6-2, 243, Lenoir Rhyne) will enter his third IFL season and first with San Diego. In his rookie campaign in 2022 with Northern Arizona, he led the IFL in both tackles for loss (19.5) and sacks (12.5) while adding 44.5 tackles, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups, and a fumble recovery.

He went on to receive IFL All-Rookie Team and All-IFL First Team honors along with being named Rookie of the Year and MVP of the IFL Championship as helped the Wranglers to an IFL National Championship win. In 2023, he saw action in nine games with Northern Arizona and recorded 24 total tackles, three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, a safety, and a quarterback hurry.

During his collegiate career at Lenoir-Rhyne University (North Carolina), Ja'Quan won the D2CCA National Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and his 29 career sacks stood as a program record along with his 23 tackles for loss. He played his prep career at Kinston High School in Northern Carolina.

The Strike Force will open the 2024 season on the road against the Duke Gladiators before hosting the San Antonio Gunslingers for their home opener at Pechanga Arena on Monday, April 1st.
