
San Antonio Spurs Assign T.J. Ford to NBA D-League Affiliate Austin Toros

NEW YORK, March 5, 2012 - The San Antonio Spurs today assigned T.J. Ford to the Austin Toros, the Spurs' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment marks the 45th time an NBA player has been assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season and is the first for Ford.
Ford (6-0, 165), an eight-year NBA veteran, will practice with the Toros at the Spurs' practice facility in San Antonio today as he continues his rehabilitation process from a torn left hamstring he suffered at Milwaukee on Jan. 10. He is scheduled to rejoin the Spurs tomorrow.
In 13 games for San Antonio this season, Ford has averaged 3.9 points and 3.4 assists in 14.2 minutes. Ford has played in 428 career NBA games, averaging 11.2 points and 5.8 assists in 27.8 minutes.
