San Antonio FC Midfielder Cristian Parano Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC midfielder Cristian Parano has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week bench, after scoring the equalizing goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Phoenix Rising FC.

Parano drew and converted the penalty for his first goal of the season, and 13th career score with SAFC.

The recognition is the sixth week this season with SAFC landing a player on the list. Parano makes appearance on the weekly list for the first time this season, joining Lamar Batista, PC, Mitchell Taintor, Jordan Farr, Mohammed Abu and Connor Maloney on the lengthy list of San Antonio honorees.

SAFC is in action twice this week, traveling for a Wednesday matchup with Nashville SC of MLS in the US Open Cup Third Round. Kickoff from GEODIS Park is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, and can be streamed on the B/R Football app. The team then returns home for a return to USL Championship play against Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday, April 29. Kickoff from Toyota Field is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, with tickets available at SanAntonioFC.com or the SAFC app.
