San Antonio FC Defender Mitchell Taintor Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC defender Mitchell Taintor has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after his performance in last weekend's 2-1 road win over LA Galaxy II.

Taintor scored his first goal of the season in the 53rd minute, heading a ball into the back of the net off of a set piece to give SAFC the lead for good. In addition to the goal, Taintor was strong in defense with five clearances, two tackles and six recoveries.

Taintor is the first player from SAFC to be named to the Team of the Week this season.
