Edinburg, Texas -Rio Grande Valley FC (1-1-0) continues their short road trip as they face LA Galaxy ll (0-2-0) at Dignity Health Sports Park on Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30 p.m. CST. The matchup will be live nationally on ESPN+.
RGV FC: Last Match
Rio Grande Valley FC suffered a late stage 1-2 loss at Orange County SC on Saturday, March 19. Frank Lopez added to his 2022 USL Championship season goal total after scoring an equalizer at the 80th minute, he leads RGV with two goals. Rio Grande played with ten men in the second half after midfielder Emilio Ycaza was sent off in the 55th minute due to accumulation of yellow cards in the match.
Sean Okoli scored a brace (80',97') for Orange County after entering the match as a substitute in the 71st minute.
Frank Lopez' two goals total thus far place him in a four-way tie for first place in scoring in the USL Championship.
The Last Time vs LA Galaxy ll:
The last meeting between the sides resulted in favor of 'Los Dos' as they took a 1-5 victory on March 8,2020. RGV looks to claim their first win of the series overall.

LA Galaxy ll fell to San Antonio FC 2-1 at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 19 in a closely contested matchup which went down to the wire.
