San Antonio FC News Release
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC added forward Bradford Jamieson IV on loan from LA Galaxy (MLS) for the 2019 USL Championship season pending league and federation clearance, the club announced today. Per club policy, terms of the loan were not disclosed.
"We are appreciative of the LA Galaxy loaning Bradford to us for the 2019 season," said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. "He is a very talented, exciting, attacking player that can fill several roles within the front line for us. We are looking forward to getting him into training and acclimated with the way we want to play as soon as possible."
In his time with the Galaxy since 2014, Jamieson IV has made 61 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and earning an MLS Championship in 2014. In addition, during his time in Los Angeles Jamieson played in 57 games with the LA Galaxy II in the USL Championship, scoring 10 total goals in 3,412 minutes with the club. Overall in his career, the California native has scored 16 goals in 108 appearances (5,769 minutes) in all competitions between the Galaxy and their USL side.
Jamieson IV originally spent time in the Chivas USA academy before joining the LA Galaxy academy and becoming a homegrown player for the club in 2014. The 22-year-old was a four-year member of the U.S. Soccer U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla. prior to his professional career. The forward has represented the United States at the U-17 and U-20 levels, scoring seven goals in over 25 international appearances.
"I'm very excited for this new experience in a place I haven't played before," said Jamieson IV. "I'm very inspired by the energy and philosophy from the players and coaches, and I'll do my best to contribute to winning a trophy."
In addition to today's transaction regarding Jamieson IV, San Antonio FC also announced that the club has mutually agreed to part ways with forward Jahir Barraza. Barraza originally joined the club on loan from FC Atlas of Liga MX in January.
Following today's moves, the San Antonio FC roster currently stands at 22. Jamieson IV will wear no. 70 for the club.
