
Sam Johnson Ready to Head Overseas

CHICAGO - The Chicago Red Stars announced today that defender Samantha Johnson will be on loan to Melbourne Victory during the National Women's Soccer League offseason.
A member of the Red Stars since 2014, Johnson has since appeared in 47 games, including starting in all but one in the 2016 season (due to injury). Johnson currently ranks in the top 5 for active Red Stars in minutes played, coming in with just over 4000 minutes.
Melbourne Victory will begin their season against Adelaide United on Saturday, November 5. Full schedule can be viewed here.
Johnson will return to the Chicago Red Stars prior to the start of the 2017 NWSL season.
