
Sam Fuld Joins Bulls on Rehab Assignment

DURHAM, NC- Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Sam Fuld will begin a Major League rehab assignment tonight with the Durham Bulls. Fuld has been on the Major League disabled list since the beginning of the year, recovering from right wrist surgery.
Fuld spent 2011 with the Rays after he was acquired along with Brandon Guyer and Chris Archer from the Chicago Cubs before the start of the season. He finished his first full season in the majors batting .240 (74-for-308) with 18 doubles and 27 RBI and was one of three finalists for the AL LF Gold Glove award.
The Durham Bulls return home tonight to begin an eight game homestand featuring visits from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Rochester Red Wings.
