Sam Alfano Headlines Thursday Night Live

(Peterborough, ON) - Sam Alfano, who committed to the Petes on May 1, 2020 after being selected in the 2nd round, 23rd overall in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, will be joining us on Thursday Night Live (TNL) this week. We'll go live with the right winger on Thursday, July 29 at 12:00 pm on the Petes Facebook page .

On the Petes live stream, the Cayuga, Ontario native will reveal how he's training on and off the ice to prepare for his long-awaited rookie season this fall. The 2020 OMHA-SCTA Player of the Year recipient will also chat about his Hockey Canada U17 development camp experience last summer, experience at the U18 development camp , and what it means to be a Hockey Gives Blood ambassador.

In the first intermission, fans will hear a special message from goaltender Tye Austin, encouraging fans to book their COVID-19 vaccination appointments in time for the Petes home opener on Thursday, October 14 at 7:05 pm.

During the second intermission Petes players and staff will be reciting the Ode Piitaanemaan Pledge . Produced in consultation with Curve Lake First Nation and Hiawatha First Nation, this pledge was created by Peterborough and Kawarthas Economic Development, with the purpose of unifying all visitors to Peterborough and Kawarthas and promoting respect of the land and each other.

The Petes will welcome the Sudbury Wolves and first overall draft pick Quentin Musty for their home opener on Thursday, October 14 at 7:05 pm. Tickets are now on sale for the 2021-22 season.
