OTTAWA - Ottawa 67's centre Dante Salituro has been named the Pioneer Energy Ontario Hockey League Player of the Week for the first week of the OHL playoffs.

The 18-year-old Salituro, the leading scorer with the 67's during the regular season with 37 goals and 41 assists for 78 points, has recorded seven points in the first two games of Ottawa's best-of-seven opening playoff round against the Niagara IceDogs.

He scored twice and added three assists in Game 1 at TD Place on March 26 during an 8-5 victory for the Barber Poles, and followed with a two-goal effort on Saturday during an 8-2 win in the second game.

Salituro, a native of Willowdale, ON, is a prospect for the 2015 NHL Draft.

The 67's continue the OHL Eastern Conference quarter-final against the IceDogs tonight at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines. The fourth game of the series will be held on Wednesday, April 1, also in St. Catharines. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

If necessary, the 67's will host Game 5 at TD Place on Good Friday, April 3 with a face-off at 7:30 p.m.
