
Saltdogs Sweep Weekly Honors

DURHAM, NC -- The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball announced today that Lincoln Saltdogs OF Argelis Nunez and RHP Tim Brown have been named the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week. The selection was made by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the American Association.
Nunez was red hot from the plate this past week. In six games, he batted .611 with three home runs, 10 RBI and 11 hits. He plated six runs, slugged an amazing 1.222 and had on-base percentage of .652. In the Saltdogs' 6-0 win over the El Paso Diablos Saturday, the 28-year-old went 3-for- 4 with a home run and five runs batted in.
Brown had two victories this past week for Lincoln. He allowed one run, unearned, in 14 innings pitched along with three walks, seven strikeouts and eight hits. He is currently 2-1 on the season with an earned run average of 2.88 ERA.
