Salmon Kings Ink D-Man David Cianfrini

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that they have signed defenseman David Cianfrini.

The Dundas, ON native joins the Salmon Kings after completing a four-year college career with Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. In 143 career games as a Golden Griffin he recorded 45 points (14g-31a) with 140 minutes in penalties.

The 6-0, 205 lb. blue liner spent three seasons in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OPJHL) with the Burlington Cougars prior to going to school. In 79 total games in Burlington he notched three goals and 30 assists for 33 points while serving 110 penalty minutes.

The 24-year-old Cianfrini is expected to be in the line-up when the Salmon Kings host the Utah Grizzlies tomorrow evening.

The Salmon Kings' roster now sits at 24 players (15 forwards, 7 defenseman, and 2 goaltenders).

Victoria returns home to host the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday, March 31st, Friday, April 2nd, and Saturday, April 3rd for the final series of the 2009-10 regular season.
