
Saints Switch Defensemen

SAN ANGELO â The San Angelo Saints today made a couple of roster moves in an effort to shore up their defense. Rookie defenseman Graeme Beattie has been released and rookie defenseman Kevin Fournier has been added to the roster effective immediately. Fournier will be in uniform for the Saints this weekend as the team enters another tough 4-games in 5-days stretch. Fournier turned pro this year after a 4-year career at the American International College in Quebec. His stats are attached.
Friday, Nov. 8th the Saints host the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7:05 pm. It will be the first Standard Times Family Night of the season as fans can take advantage of a coupon that will be in the Standard Times later this week for (4) mid-zone tickets, (4) medium soft drinks, (2) large popcorns and a Saints program for only $40. Also Friday night, the first 1000 fans through the doors will receive a free Demand Staff key chain - and every fan at the game will have several chances to win cold, hard cash as the Saints will give away over $500 in cash prizes during the game.
After a road game in Corpus Christi Saturday â the Saints will host the defending league champion Memphis Riverkings on Sunday at 5:05 pm. Every fan through the doors will receive a free American Flag on Sunday as the Saints celebrate Veteran's Day a day early and honor our local armed forces.
Then Tuesday, Nov. 12th the Saints host the arch-rival Odessa Jackalopes at 7:05 pm.
***Look for several more potential personnel moves this week as the Saints attempt to fill out their roster. Currently forwards Jamie Thompson, Blake Sheane and Jason Abel are on the injured reserve list. Thompson is questionable for this weekend â Sheane and Abel are definitely our for the weekend.
