Saints Owner Mike Veeck to Hold Fun is Good Conference November 5-6

ST. PAUL, MN (September 4, 2007) - Fun is Good. It sounds like a simple concept, yet one that most of us forget when we are at the office. The man behind the idea, Mike Veeck, will share his innovative ideas at the fittingly named 'Fun is Good" Conference scheduled for November 5-6 at The Marriott Charleston.

As co-owner and President of the St. Paul Saints, Veeck's concepts have helped revolutionize Minor League Baseball. The Saints have been lauded for being ahead of the curve on promotional ideas and are well known for their four-legged pig mascot, 80-year-old massaging nun, all creations that originate from Veeck's state of mind.

That philosophy not only carries over to the Saints, but the five other Minor League clubs he owns. The man behind the idea has sought out friends from all over the business world to help bring these ideas to light at the conference. It will teach managers how to get more productivity out of their employees, show staff members how to enjoy going to work, and help sales people increase their productivity during the year. Along with Veeck, the scheduled speakers during the two day event will be Al Fahden, Shawn Hunter, Gary Kunath, Shannon McDevitt and Dan Migala. Kris Atteberry, who joined the Twins Radio Network team in 2007 after spending five seasons calling St. Paul Saints games on TV and radio, will be the events emcee.

Gary Kunath - President and CEO of The Summit Group, a recognized thought leader that provides high end sales training and development in the areas of value creation, strategic business alignment, collaborative planning with customers, business acumen, executive engagement, leveraging enterprise assets into the deal and enterprise offer development.
