Saginaw Spirit News Release
The Saginaw Spirit have partnered with the Saginaw County Animal Care Center & Meijer to bring you the "Pucks for Paws" Game on Saturday, November 19th. Ten Saginaw Spirit Players visited the local animal shelter to select dogs that are up for adoption in hopes that their personal tie to the dog will help it find a great home.
The ten dogs chosen and named after Spirit players are currently up for adoption at the Saginaw County Animal Care Center 1312 Gratiot Rd. Saginaw, MI 48602. The Adoption process is pretty simple after an adoption application is approved and a fee of $45.00 (if the dog has not been spayed, only $15.00 if already spayed), one of these special animals will be yours.
Each year the shelter is home to hundreds of dogs who need food, water, and medical care. The shelter is always in need of donations to help keep these animals safe and find them a good home. At the November 19, 2011 game you can purchase Tennis Balls in the Atrium that will be thrown on the ice for your chance to win some great prizes. The proceeds from the tennis ball sales and the evening's 50/50 raffle will go to benefit the Saginaw County Animal Care Center. We invite everyone to join us for the Spirit Game on Saturday, November 19th as the Spirit take on the Sarnia Sting at 7:11pm.
