May 2, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Philadelphia Union II News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - Bethlehem Steel FC announced today that Saed DÃaz has received an international call-up from the Panamanian Under-20 National Team. DÃaz is set to join his national side ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup taking place in Poland later this month.
Panama has been drawn into Group E of the competition, along with France, Saudi Arabia and Mali. The Panamanians will first take on Mali (May 25), followed by matches against France (May 28) and Saudi Arabia (May 31). The group stage wraps up on May 31 before progressing to the knockout stage of the competition.
DÃaz featured previously for Panama's U-20 squad during the 2018 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, scoring four goals and providing three assists in four starts during the competition. DÃaz's efforts solidified Panama's qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, with his four goals coming in the form of braces against Guadalupe (November 2) and Canada (November 6). The forward's performances helped Panama's U-20s go undefeated in the competition with only one draw across all matches.
Steel FC next travels to Washington D.C. to take on Loudoun United FC at Audi Field tomorrow, Friday, May 3 (7:30 p.m. ET | Audi Field | Washington D.C. | ESPN+).
