Sabres Recall Nelson, Amerks Reassign Kasdorf to Elmira

Rochester, NY- The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Casey Nelson from the Rochester Americans (AHL). In a corresponding move, the Amerks have also reassigned goaltender Jason Kasdorf to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Nelson (6'1", 190 lbs., 7/18/1992) has nine points (4+5) in 27 games for the Amerks this season, including three points (2+1) in his last five games. In 15 career games for the Sabres during the last two seasons, the Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin native has four assists and 10 penalty minutes.
