Rychel & Bateman Players Of The Month

Kerby Rychel is the Precision Jewellers Player of the Month for February, while Adam Bateman is the Peter Thomson of Sun Life Financial Academic Player of the Month.

Rychel played in all 12 games in February and recorded a point in 11 of those, piling up eight goals and 14 assists. He had two monster games among them: a six-point (1G, 5A) effort in a 9-4 win in Peterborough back on February 7 th and a five-point (1G, 4A) game in an 8-5 victory over Erie on February 21st .

Rychel's outstanding month vaulted him into the Top-10 in league scoring. He currently has 36 goals and 44 assists for 80 points in 63 games, and leads the team in all four categories.

Off the ice, Adam Bateman is our Peter Thomson of Sun Life Financial Academic Player of the Month for February. Adam is currently taking three Grade 12 courses at Ste Anne High School: Data management, Business leadership and Food and Nutrition.

He is maintaining a strong B+ average and his teachers describe him as conscientious, hard-working, polite, respectful, mature and responsible.

Bateman, 18, has played 51 games in his second season with the Spitfires, recording five goals and adding four assists.
