Ryan O'Connor Named State Farm Player Of The Week

(Saginaw, MI) Saginaw Spirit defenseman Ryan O'Connor has been named the State Farm Player of the Week for the first week of January 2010, following his efforts in the last four games that helped Saginaw (19-15-3-1; 42 points) secure five points and a record of 2-1-0-1 from December 28 through January 4.

This week's State Farm Player of the Week honors are brought to you by Agent Jeff Hunt of Bay City, Agent Ryan McConnell of Saginaw and Agent Cathy Tafel of Saginaw.

O'Connor tallied two goals and two assist in the last four contests, including a two point game on January 2nd against the Kitchener Rangers. He enters the week with five goals and 17 assists in 38 games. The Hamilton, Ontario native is eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
