The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce the Molson Canadian Performers of the month for the month of December, 2009.
Molson Canadian Player of the Month - The Owen Sound Attack has named forward Jason Wilson the Molson Canadian Player of the Month for December. Wilson lead the Attack with 6 goals in December, adding 6 assists to go along with a +6 rating. The 19 year old forward was named the games 1st star on two occasions as well as the games third star, once. The Richmond Hill native has 14 goals and 14 assists in 30 games played this year.
Molson Canadian Defenseman and Rookie of the Month- Rookie blueliner Geoffrey Schemitsch has been named the Attack's Molson Canadian Defenseman, as well as Rookie of the Month. The 17 year old rearguard notched 2 goals and 7 assists to go along with a tidy +5 rating. Schemitsch sits 9th in OHL Defenseman scoring and tied for first in OHL Rookie scoring with 4 goals and 27 assists (27 assists is a rookie high).
Molson Canadian Goaltender of the Month - Sophomore goaltender Scott Stajcer has been named the Attack's Molson Canadian Goaltender of the Month for December. In 8 games played, the Cambridge native posted a 4-3-1-0 record, 3.11GAA and a very respectable.915 save percentage. The New York Rangers prospect currently sits with a 3.44 GAA and a.908 save percentage to go along with 15 wins for the 2009/2010 season.
The Attack is back in action this Wednesday night when they play host to the London Knights for the first time at home this season. Game time at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre is 7:00pm.
