B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) With two dynamic kick returns in last Saturday's game versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders, BC Lions returner Ryan Lankford has earned one of three Player of the Week nods as announced by the CFL this morning.
Lankford, who appeared in just his second game in orange and black, returned a missed field goal 118 yards for a major in the closing moments of the second-quarter and then took a third-quarter kickoff back 89 yards for another touchdown. The missed field goal return for a TD was the first of Lankford's career while the kickoff return TD was his second. The impressive performance moved the Florida native into second overall in the CFL for both kickoff return yards (535) and missed field goal return yards (118).
The next BC Lions home game is Saturday, August 24 versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats presented by Save-On Foods.
Single game tickets for all home games are on sale.
