Halifax Mooseheads News Release

Halifax Mooseheads General Manager Marcel Patenaude announced today that forward Ryan Hillier will remain with the Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club, but will be available to play with the Dartmouth Subways of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League as a "reverse affiliate player."

Hillier, the Mooseheads' number one draft in round two (18) of the 2004 QMJHL Entry Draft, will remain a part of the Mooseheads active roster and will take part in all team activities, such as practices, games and road trips, but will be available from time to time to play with the Dartmouth Subways midget team if needed.

"I want to stress that Ryan Hillier is still and will remain a member of the Halifax Mooseheads," Patenaude said. "Our priority is to make sure that Ryan is familiar with our system. We know he is capable of playing major junior hockey, but with our current roster situation it has been difficult to provide him with ice time.

"This way, if he is needed by the Dartmouth Subways, the added ice time will aid in his development. We would like to thank the Dartmouth Subways' organization for helping us out with this situation."
