Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Prince Albert Raiders right winger Ryan Harrison will skate for Team Pacific at the 2009 World Under 17 Challenge starting Monday in British Columbia.. Raider list players Sean Aschim (Prince Albert Mintos) and Matt Glowa (Winnipeg Thrashers) will play for Team West at the tournament.
Harrison and Team Pacific have an exhibition game Sunday against the United States in Port Alberni, while Aschim, Glowa and Team West take on Russia in Cowichan. On Monday tournament play begins with West playing Quebec in Port Alberni, while Harrison and Team Pacific are in the feature game against Russia following the opening ceremonies at Port Alberni.
Shaw will televise six games from the tournament live, including the opening ceremonies and Team Pacific vs. Russia Sunday. The gold medal game January 4 will be live on TSN.
