SALT LAKE CITY (May 12, 2010) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that right-handed pitcher Ryan Aldridge has joined the club from Double-A Arkansas following the Angels' rescinding of right-handed pitcher Matt Palmer's option to Salt Lake on May 7. Palmer was placed on the Disabled List with an acute sprain of his right sternoclavicular (shoulder).

Aldridge, 26, has appeared in nine games of relief for the Travelers in 2010, owning a 0.75 ERA with 15 strikeouts. In 15 games of relief for the Travs in 2009, he owned a 0-1 record with a 4.50 ERA and 11 strikeouts. He also appeared in six games for the Arizona League Angels, registering a 2.70 ERA with 13 strikeouts. The Jesup, Ga. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 17th round of the 2004 draft.
