Nashville Sounds News Release
NASHVILLE - The Nashville Sounds lost to the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-0, behind Tacoma Rainiers starter Steven Shell and his complete-game shutout in front of a season-high 10,791 fans as part of Reading Club day at historic Greer Stadium, the largest crowd of the 2010 season.

After Jack Hannahan reached on a infielder error, Tacoma catcher Josh Bard homered to deep left field that put the Rainiers ahead 2-0, his second home run of the season. Tacoma added the other two runs for a 4-0 lead in the top of the eighth inning on reliever Tim Dillard with another home run to left field, a two-run shot by Mike Carp.
Sounds starter Chris Waters (3-1) took a tough loss while recording his second consecutive quality start, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and four walks while fanning two batters over six innings.
