Rush releases Cornelius White

The Chicago Rush announced today it has released WR/LB Cornelius White.
"As a head coach you often have to make difficult decisions and this was a very difficult one because Cornelius did some good things for us this year," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "At 4-6 those decisions get even tougher, but we feel like we need to do a couple things to give the team a spark. This is just the first of several moves we will be making this week to shake up the lineup."
White had played in each of the team's 10 games this season and was the team's second-leading receiver, catching 44 passes for 572 yards and nine touchdowns. On defense he recorded 25.0 tackles and two passes broken up.
Chicago returns home to Allstate Arena Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m. to host the Las Vegas Gladiators.
