La Loche, SK - Yesterday, two Saskatchewan Rush players had the privilege of visiting some very special students in La Loche and the Clearwater River Dene Nation! The day was filled with memories that will last a lifetime for many young faces, and it was all made possible by proud Rush Partner- NexGen Energy.

Mark Matthews and Jeremy Thompson made pitstops at Clearwater River Dene School, Dene High, and Ducharme Elementary. Both spent time with the students sharing their stories, talking about life, and teaching some basic fundamentals of Lacrosse. Matthews and Thompson made sure that every student was able to personally learn Lacrosse basics, while leaving the students with special gifts upon departure.

"It was an amazing day. Very honoured I got to meet these kids and teach them about the game of Lacrosse. Hopefully they took something from what was shared today, and it will have a profound impact on them. We thank all three schools and the community of La Loche for welcoming us with open arms. We also thank NexGen for making it all happen." - Saskatchewan Rush Transition Player, Jeremy Thompson

NexGen Energy is heavily involved in the community of La Loche, sponsoring local breakfast programs, providing student apprenticeship programs, sponsoring La Loche hockey and volleyball teams, and school field trips. Providing the opportunity for local youth to meet and learn from Rush players was exciting for the company.

"NexGen is very proud to be a partner of the Saskatchewan Rush and to facilitate yesterday's visit to the community of La Loche and the Clearwater River Dene Nation. We are grateful for the opportunity to help Mark and Jeremy share their inspirational stories and passion for lacrosse with the community." - Karina Tyne, Corporate Manager, NexGen Energy

Rush fans can look forward to an upcoming episode of Rush TV, in which Mia Gordon highlights the entire journey.
