Saskatchewan Rush News Release
Vancouver, BC - The Saskatchewan Rush pulled away with a much needed win, defeating the Vancouver Warriors 15-13 in a tight back and forth game.
In his first start of the season, Adam Shute proved to be a steady presence in net, making crucial saves at key points in the game. Mark Matthews and Robert Church led the charge offensively, each with a hat-trick on the night. Mike Messenger was a force on the back-end, chipping in with two goals of his own.
Without captain Chris Corbeil in the lineup due to injury, rookie Connor Robinson drew in for the second time this season and got an assist. Rush forward Curtis Knight filled in on the back-end, displaying his versatility throughout the entire game.
The Rush are right back to work this Friday at home, facing off against the Colorado Mammoth. After a huge win last night for the Mammoth over the Georgia Swarm, expect a close and intense game between these western rivals. The NLL West Division is now incredibly tight, with the Rush and two other squads sitting at .500.
