Vancouver Warriors News Release
VANCOUVER BC - Jeff Shattler scored with 1:50 to play and Mike Messenger added an empty net goal to lift the Saskatchewan Rush to a hard fought 15-13 win over the Vancouver Warriors at Rogers Arena.
This game featured numerous lead changes and spectacular goals. Mitch Jones continued his hot streak offensively, potting four more goals and adding two assists for six points. Jones now has a team leading 20 goals on the season. Jordan McBride also had four goals on the night for Vancouver, while Justin Salt with two, Jean-Luc Chetner, Keegan Bal and Tony Malcom also scored for the Warriors. Malcom added five assists in the game to match Jones and his six-point evening.
Vancouver's loss drops their record to 3-7 on the season.
Vancouver heads to their first bye week of the season and will next play on March 2nd in San Diego versus the Seals. The Warriors return home on March 16th to take on the New England Black Wolves.
