
Rush Bounce Back with Come-from-Behind Victory over Mallards

(Rapid City, SD) - On Saturday, the Rapid City Rush faced-off against the Quad City Mallards in the second game of a weekend pair. The Mallards would take an early two goal lead before the Rush rallied to score three unanswered, including the eventual game-winning goal from rookie Jeff Lee to lift the Rush to a 3-2 victory. The Rush are back on the road Wednesday, December 18th against the Denver Cutthroats at the Denver Coliseum. Tune into 100.3 The Fox or online at foxradio.com for the 7:05pm MST puck drop.
Quad City scored early, with goals from Jason Dixon and Anthony Perdicaro just 20 seconds apart for a 2-0 lead just 7:07 in. Dixon's powerplay goal came after a centering pass was tipped home from the low slot while Perdicaro's tally was a redirection of a shot from Mike Stinziani. The Rush responded at 16:23 when Scott Wray redirected a centering pass from Jordan Behler who took the puck coast-to-coast, cutting the lead in half. Just 41 seconds later, Jordan Baker backhanded in his fifth goal of the season to knot the score 2-2 by first the intermission. On the play, Jesse Schultz picked up an assist, his first point since returning to the Rush lineup.
Midway through the second frame, the Rush would take their first lead of the night as Jeff Lee notched the go-ahead-goal off an assist from Jarrett Konkle which secured the win for the Rush 3-2.
