
Ruopp Signs with Penguins

Prince Albert SK- The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that they have signed Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Harrison Ruopp to an entry-level contract.
The Zehner, Saskatchewan product recorded 1 goal and 15 assists along with 132 penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating in 65 games with the Raiders this season. Beginning his career in 2009-2010, Ruopp appeared in 214 games for the Green and Gold, recording 34 points and 395 penalty minutes.
Drafted by the Raiders 31st overall in the 2008 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, Ruopp earned the Raiders Top Defenceman and Most Inspirational Player honours in each of the previous two seasons.
The 6'3", 200-pound defenceman was acquired by the Penguins at the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft via trade, after being drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the third round, 84th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft.
