The St. Louis Cardinals have announced a roster move within their organization. New Jersey Cardinals right handed pitcher Bob Runyon has been promoted to the Peoria Chiefs (Midwest League).
Runyon had an ERA of 3.72 in 4 games with the Cardinals, while posting a record of 0-2. Over 9.2 innings, he struck out 8 batters and walked only 2 hitters. Bob Runyon began the season with Palm Beach (Florida State League).
The Cardinals take on the Staten Island Yankees tonight at 7:15 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Following the game a massive fireworks display will take place courtesy of Condit Toyota World and Condit Ford, Lincoln Mercury World. Miller Lite is sponsoring a bat raffle this evening.
