
Rumble & Brodeur Return; Admirals Add Forward Brant Sherwood

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced Tuesday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Brandon Rumble (pictured above), goaltender Jeremy Brodeur and forward Brant Sherwood.
Rumble, 25, returns to the Admirals where he has registered a goal and an assist in 13 games played this season. Rumble has also recorded four points (1g, 3a) in twelve appearances in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) this season split between the Peoria Rivermen and Pensacola Ice Flyers. The Ottawa, Ontario native, Rumble, registered 16 points (16a) with the Rivermen. The 6-1, 172-pound blueliner totaled 94 points (26g, 68a) during his four-year collegiate career at Lindenwood University (ACHA) from 2013-2017. Rumble is the son of former Norfolk Admirals Head Coach Darren Rumble (2008-2010). Darren Rumble also served as an assistant coach for Norfolk during the 2007-08 season.
Brodeur, 22, also returns to the Admirals where he has made one appearance this season. Brodeur was initially acquired by Norfolk earlier this season after totaling 4.09 goals-against-average and 0.888 save percentage with the Allen Americans (ECHL). The 6-1, 186-pound posted 15-13-1 record with a 3.15 goals-against-average and a 0.917 save percentage with the Americans last season. Brodeur won 70 career games in 124 appearances with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League from 2014-2017, winning an OHL and Memorial Cup championship in 2015. The Essex, New Jersey native is the son of Hall of Fame netminder Martin Brodeur who played for the New Jersey Devils from 1992-2014.
Sherwood, 27, joins the Admirals after posting 14 points (5g, 9a) with 62 penalty minutes in 31 games played with Pensacola (SPHL). The 6-0, 170-pound forward has compiled 82 points (34g, 48a) with 229 penalty minutes in 132 career SPHL games. The Rochester, New York native totaled 27 points (8g, 19a) in 56 collegiate games split between SUNY-Cortland and Plymouth State University from 2012-2015.
Tuesday's announcement comes days after forward Domenic Alberga and defenseman Jalen Smereck were recalled to Tucson of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Rumble, Brodeur and Sherwood are expected to be available when the Admirals return home Wednesday to play host to the Reading Royals at 7:00 p.m.
