Ruby, McGinnis Join Havoc Training Camp Roster

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach Glenn Detulleo announced today that the team has signed goaltender Jordan Ruby and forward John McGinnis to try-out agreements.

Ruby (6-1, 190) went 1-0, allowed three goals and made 26 saves one game for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL last season after playing four seasons at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The Tavistock, Ontario native posted a 23-32-7 record at R.I.T. with 2.88 goals against average and a 90.9 save percentage. He played two seasons of junior hockey for the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL where he went 47-11-10 with a 2.19 goals against average and a 93.2 save percentage.

"Jordan is coming in after a very strong senior season in college that earned him an opportunity in the ECHL to finish the year," Detulleo said. "I expect him to make our goaltending position very competitive for ice time."

"I am very anxious to get my first professional season underway." Ruby said. "I am very pleased that I have the opportunity for the Huntsville Havoc. I expect nothing but good things for this upcoming season."

McGinnis (6-1, 180) spent the past four seasons playing at Division III Bowdoin College. The Cocoa, Florida native scored 41 goals and recorded 72 assists in 103 games. He also played three seasons of junior hockey for the Northern Cyclones of the AtJHL where he scored 52 goals and recorded 77 assists in 122 games.

"After an exceptional college career, I'm excited to get John in training camp," Detulleo said. "He has a great mix of speed, size and skill that should help him adapt quickly to the professional game."

The Havoc open the season on the road on October 23rd at Columbus. The home opener on Pharmacy First Ice will be November 10th against Knoxville.
