Power Up: The Royals scored three times while on the powerplay in tonight's game. This marks the 34th time in seven plus years, that the team has scored three or more goals on the man-advantage in a game. The franchise record for most powerplay goals in a single game is five, which took place in a 6-4 win over the Vancouver Giants on February 24, 2017.
Outstanding Outhouse: Victoria netminder Griffen Outhouse was solid as he stopped 53 of the 55 shots he faced on opening weekend. Outhouse has posted a record 2-0-0-0 with a goals against average of 1.02 and a save percentage of 0.964%.
