
Americans Bring Fire in 6-1 Home Opener Win over Chiefs

Tri-City Americans News Release
The Tri-City Americans opened up the 2018-2019 WHL season with a win against the Spokane Chiefs.
The Chiefs put themselves up on the board first in the first period at 2:20. Nolan Reid and Eli Zummack assisted Riley Woods.
It didn't take the Americans much time after that to score their first goal. Roman Kalinichenko put the team on the board with the help of Kyle Olson and Nolan Yaremko at 5:18.
Kyle Olson finds the back of the net next at 15:07 with the assist of Isaac Johnson and Nolan Yaremko.
Nolan Yaremko lands two tonight in the second period. The first came at 3:41 with the help of Riley Sawchuk and Blake Stevenson. His second goal was at 13:06 assisted by Isaac Johnson and Mitchell Brown.
The fifth goal of the night came from Krystof Hrabik in the third at 7:40. Assisted by Sasha Mutala and Parker AuCoin.
Sasha Mutala scored the last goal of the night at 17:44.
The Americans out shot the Chiefs 26-25.
