Royals Spice Up Weekday/night Games in 2007

OMAHA - Cash prizes, free food, dollar drinks and the always-popular fireworks, will highlight the weekday/weeknight promotions at Omaha Royals home games at Rosenblatt Stadium this season. Fireworks Fridays return in 2007 - most of those courtesy of the Royals 2007 presenting sponsor Werner Enterprises, Clear Channel and KETV. In addition, the Royals have teamed up with other corporate and media sponsors to spice up the Monday-Thursday home games for their upcoming Pacific Coast League campaign.

Each of the Royals nine Monday home games will be "Free Money Mondays", with the first 500 fans receiving cash and other prizes.

The team's nine Tuesday home dates are tabbed as "2uesday Specials". All fans will receive 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs, 2 Cokes and 2 souvenir programs for just $22, presented by Suburban Newspapers.

The club also has nine "Kids Eat Free" Wednesdays on its 2007 PCL home schedule. All kids 12-and-under will receive a free meal voucher for each game ticket purchased, courtesy of ValPak.

The Royals nine Thursday night home games are billed as "Thirsty Thursdays", when fans will enjoy $1.00 beers and Cokes during the games, plus live music in the Stadium View Club afterwards, courtesy of Miller Lite, 96.1 The Brew and the City Weekly.

Fans will also enjoy Omaha Steaks half-price burgers during every 12:05 p.m. home game. Six of those are scheduled on various weekdays during the upcoming season.

Single game tickets for the Royals 2007 season go on sale this Saturday, March 17th. Tickets may be purchased at Rosenblatt Stadium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free hot dogs and Cokes will be provided during the event, courtesy of Salem Radio Omaha. A pitching inflatable will also be set up in the stadium's front plaza. During the event hours, single game tickets may also be purchased by calling the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100. Beginning at 10 a.m. this Saturday, single game tickets will also be available on line at www.Oroyals.com and www.Etix.com.
